As Legend has it, in 1993 Jim Graham bought a house that was in need of some
serious help. He worked every night after work and weekends for 14 months to reverse
the years of damage caused by neglect, temporary patches and repairs done
incorrectly. He did, however, not conquer this journey on his own. Just prior to the start
of his destiny he met a young lad where he was working at that point in time. While
working together during the day at the factory and on Jim's house at night they became
close friends in no time. They both had the same desire to be the best at what they do.
So natural progression would have it that dealing with all this inspired the both of them
to learn the best ways to remodel houses. Realizing this was not uncommon in the
housing industry, Jim decided he had to help others that did not have the skills or
knowledge he was blessed with. He turned the house he bought into a home for his
family then started Above & Beyond Handyman Services Inc. He knew he was going to
need help with the business and that young lad was just the person he wanted by his
side. So Jim hired this young lad on a part time basis since the company was just
starting out. A few years later that young lad had opportunities that allowed him to
follow other dreams. For about the next decade Jim worked on helping families across
northern Illinois turn their houses into homes and dreams into reality. That young lad
was seeking adventure all over the country and despite the distance between the two
they remained close friends. Then in the spring of 2007 the adventures of that young lad
led him back to Illinois to join the team at Above & Beyond Handyman Services.
Together Jim and Micah are a great team. They both have the same desire to be the
best at what they do and continue to learn new and better ways. Customer satisfaction
is their # 1 goal.
